I've just watched the video of the incident via the link posted above - wouldn't this incident be a great example to all those bloody impatient SLF who insist on removing their belts, standing up and retrieving their all so important belongings from the overhead bin before the ride has come to a complete halt??

Aren't you trivialising a serious event in which a pilot was seriously injured?
There are plenty of threads where you can (rightly) whinge about SLF undoing their seat belts too early.

I work in the Construction industry (so I can afford to drive the Cherokee) which has traditionally had one of the worst safety records of any industry but over recent years we have managed to turn that around with very hard hitting safety campaigns and "Zero Accident" Policies.
One of the few ways to impress safety on our workforce has been by showing them hard hitting and often gruesome video of the consequences of their actions and inactions.
The message is that we don't want anybody to be hurt (we want every member of our workforce to return home to their family safe tonight) but when regrettably somebody is hurt, we want to use the images to try and ensure nobody else is.

Psychophysiological entity
It is an aside, but highly relevant. I don't know in this case if it contributed to injuries, but it is a good example of why the rule should be enforced.
