Anyone know why? Heard that runway was blocked...

Ah that must've been in the afternoon when they closed due to a thunderstorm...the wind was pretty stiff too- stopped us gliding after one launch, to see if it really was as windy as it seemed
No, the incident I was referring to, was late morning...and wasn't weather related as far as I was aware. They basically grounded the skydiving club operating from Kingsfield, which is how we heard about it as we were setting up to fly.

Wasn't quite that windy in the AM 20 gusting 25kts.
The Red Devils are here at the mo on practice camp, but due to a combination of wind and U/S Turbo-porter they've asked if they can have the airfield all week, so no glidding for us til the weekend...at least the winds dropped a bit...
