Red face P-63 King Cobra accident report

This is a very short NTSB report classified as "Factual" in the monthly index.

It tells us that there were two fatalities (pilot and passenger) rather than one, that Biggin Hill is EGBK rather than EGKB,that Biggin Hill is actually in Germany rather than the UK and that the accident investigation is being handled by the German authorities rather than the UK ones.

I hope all of the NTSB reports aren't as "factual" as this. We should be very thankful indeed for the professionalism of the AAIB.

'Substantially damaged' is a slight understatement as well.

RIP to all who died at Biggin.

Thumbs down

WOW now that's poor research....

even reading a news paper includes more facts and less mistakes than that one..

as 10W said .. my condolences to the families of the pilots who lost their lives at Biggin Hill.

The NTSB will be correcting their preliminary report to contain the correct details.
