We have 2 that are on lease to Lufthansa that are coming back to MAN to operate to BRU and DUS , 3 times a day to each ,instead of BAR 737-500's . We are looking for pilots ,I think. Rumours are that there will be more to operate other BAR services form MAN, maybe the 146 that is currently in INV???

Exclamation

BRAL, please please PLEASE don't go for 6 abreast seating.
It's bloody awful in a 146 !!!!!!!
If other european carriers can provide the 2+3 arrangement, why can't BRAL ?

KADS, the first 146 is due for return in November, the second possibly in January.

145qrh, as regards the 300 series moving from Inverness to Manchester.... dream on!!!

Rythm method- as regards the 300 moving, if the rumours are true there will be a larger aircraft on the INV-LGW ,but it will be operated from a larger base(LGW) and by a larger company(EOG).
No-one would like to see any base close in BACE , but as we say down here "yer Jakets are oan a shoogly nail"

Cool

Got to agree with bral, more likely that the IOM based 146 moves to Manchester, and that rumour was circulating within the last month (promise I didn't start that one!).

Controller Friendly... Hello (Go on you gunners!!)

Barcli, you joke, but that is still a very strong possibility. Let's face it, the barbie jets are pretty restricted out of (and probably into SOU?) whereas the 146 is virtually never restricted. I'm sure that Mike Bathgate or someone else in the new commercial department have not yet totally dismissed that option.

...and there are 16 almost brand-spanking RJ100's (146-300's)just currently being built into the CFE-EoG integration at LGW....but will they all be needed...? With their technical record, they'd be better off at MAN nice and close to WFD...!

You maybe getting the 2 146s back from us later this year but the state of them means you won't see them for a long time. Sorry guys I just fly them!

tech again....
I am sure I am trying to tell granny how to suck eggs, but the RJ and the 146 have some very large differences. 1. LF507 engines instead of ALF 502s. 2. Full authority autothrottle instead of TMS. 3. FADEC
4. Flightdeck improvements including full cat3 capability. 5.Improved cabin trim including illuminated overhead bins and modular toilets. Anyway I could go on but wont.

Thumbs up

please, please, BRAL replace that darn awful ATP which suffers (apart from technical) weight and serious weather restrictions for runways of 1130m long.

If the BMI 146s are going to BRAL, what are BMI going to use on the LH MAN flights instead ?
