The Legacy of the mighty Boeing 377(KC/C-97) lives on today by way of the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation from Toms River N.J. Her name is "DELIVERANCE" and Her interior when complete will become a Cold War Exibit with many displays & showcases & memorabila. She will cover 40yrs of cold war history inside from the End of the Berlin Airlift in 1949 until the destruction of the Berlin Wall in 1989. This museum also will tell the history of the USAF mission as a Cold War airtanker & cargo lifter with SAC as the KC/C-97. In the civilian aviation side She was known as the 377 Stratocruiser of only 55 were made as an Airliner with the likes of PANAM,NORTHWEST & BOAC.The paint scheme is now complete & the C-97 soon will be ferried to Her new home EAST in the NY/NJ area.Only 2 of these mighty Boeing STRATS survive today that are AIRWORTHY in the WORLD! We are a nonprofit all volunteer private organization & welcome all those folks that would like to get involved in this RARE aviation event about to happen & would like to help us along the way in this project. If interest is generated contact me for more details."KEEP M FLYING"
