LGW Closure

Anyone have information on the closure of LGW today at about midday. Was pax from MAN but the BA Shuttle diverted to BOH because "an aircraft had landed and hit one of the runway lights which in turn pulled up some of the concrete". Further info anyone?

Believe it was burst tyre(s) which left debris on the runway from both tyres and a light fitting that was also damaged following the burst.

Took a few minutes to clean up and fix.

Dunno but I would be interested.
I was in (pax) a flight from France...after entering the hold we were told by the Flight Crew we were diverting to Bournemouth, very shortly shortly thereafter we were told it was back to plan A and happily ( apart from the usual 10% of non-aviation understanding whinging numbskulls) we landed at LGW slightly late........

edited to add - must speed up my typing, thanks, Porco, for the further info

I was inbound to LTN when we heard via London ATC that an airport was to close for 10-15 mins.....I thought I'd missed it in the NOTAM's
