A BA manager has left the company following allegations that he got drunk and abused cabin crew on a flight from Thailand.

Robbie Armstrong, 42, was said to have been drinking before boarding the 747 at Bangkok. After reportedly drinking on the flight, Mr Armstrong went to the lavatory but would not shut the door.

When asked to do so he is said to have become so abusive that crew called the captain, to whom he was also abusive.

A BA spokesman said: "Following an incident a member of staff has been subject to disciplinary proceedings."</font>
