Aer Lingus Bomb Scare

Apparently, there was yet another hoax bomb scare for an Irish based carrier. This time it was on an Aer Lingus flight from Tenerife to Dublin last night which landed safely at approximately 8pm. According to radio reports a note was found in the toilets suggeting a bomb was on board.

This is the third hoax in less than a month for an Irish based carrier. Whats going on??

Anyone have any further information?

I have a feeling that it is copycats and we could be subject to these for a while, hopefully the irish airline threat assessors are on to this and will take into account the previous hoaxes when assessing the next "threats".

If someone really wants to destroy an airplane they ain't going to tell you about it....99.999% of Notes found are hoaxes.

Enemy within

Reminds of a case on FR a few years back of such notes being found and the incidence of toilet fires, then it dawned on the powers that there was a common denominator, a certain Cabin Crew Member, whose services were suddenly no longer required........result, problems went away.

Caused a Diversion to Santiago on one occasion,
