Additional Fokker 70's at KLM Cityhopper
Heard a rumour yesterday that KLM Cityhopper is going to add 4 Fokker 70's to its fleet. Two Fokker 70's will be acquired from British Midland and two others from Austrian Airlines. Is there anybody who can confirm this or has additional information?

Heard a rumour myself that British Midland was looking to sell some Fokkers to KLM Cityhopper.
Must be something in it I think as the 737-300 will take up an ever increasing role at EMA with the low cost operation.

Yep, there is some truth in what is being said here. 2 Fokker 70's will be off 2 KLM from bmi in March and the other 1 will go later this year sometime. . .I just hope that this will not result in any more redundancies at bmi! <img src="eek.gif" border="0">

Just to complement the thread.
The two Austrian Airlines F70 (OE-LFS and OE-LFT) are scheduled to be delivered to KLM Cityhopper in August 2002. The three BMI F70s are scheduled to be delivered a few weeks later.
