Today's Times revealing that Air 2Bob were found a little bit wanting in the areas of customer care.

Thumbs up

According to BBC 'Ceefax' the golf clubs could not be loaded onto an earlier flight because of weight restricions.

If that is so, then well done to Air2Bob. <img src="cool.gif" border="0">

Would you want to fly on an aircraft that was overweight...?? <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> <img src="eek.gif" border="0"> <img src="eek.gif" border="0">

At least it proves that the airline doesn't 'fiddle the figures'...... <img src="cool.gif" border="0">

Sounds as if the first aircraft involved was a. .'bus' - after all its a long way from the north of. .England to Faro. Now, if they had decided to leave. .us all on the Boeing..........no problem.

As an aside, how many times do we carry great piles of golf clubs which are still categorized. .as standard baggage weights ? I know that my bag. .weighs a mite more than 13kg - certainly seems. .to in this weather anyway !

Did the Capt have to ask for a whip round from the pax to pay the fuel bill and landing fees at MAN or did the company bail him out?

Ha i know about this one, bags offloaded from an A320 Sat afternoon.Handling agent decided to rush them next day on VZ flight in the early morning...........despite the fact DP had one going to FAO about 2 hours later.Of course 20 or so went leaving the 63.. .So were rushed onto MT as aforementioned AMM flight had long since departed,............they didnt want to know at all.. .Hence one diverted flight.

From the pax perspective - this is very difficult to accept. We know that carriers have freight as a major source of income BUT!

To the outsider, it would seem to make more sense to have asked one of the specialist freight forwarding companies to have dealt with the problem. The cost of that, against the re-routing/fuel/crew hours etc., seems a strange balance.

The adverse P/R is priceless <img src="rolleyes.gif" border="0">
