RAFAT, so has the 145, however you can bring it back to life when on the ground by pressing the STAB button 4 times. Its designed that way to stop you frying the ground crew. The poor guy on the SAAB must have taken one hell of a hit, it happened to me about 5 years ago going into MAN from ABZ,

You guys don't know the day you were born. The ultimate experience is flying a clapped out old ex-Pan Am stovepipe 707-321 with ancient wax radar through the ITZ. Character building stuff. Anyone out there remember 'SL better known as Spread Legs.

RAFAT, not sure what you mean, the tiller/brakes+ landing gear are operated hydraulically, however they won`t operate with out the genny`s on(to much load on the batteries) unless selected to overide. From memory the flaps were also operated from the hydraulics, if you lost that lot it would be quite hard work relying on r/thurst to bring to a halt as the steering tends to have a mind of its own at low speed, sounds like the guys did well to control it on the ground, must have done some serious damage the SAAB`s a tough old bird.

both the app and area radars at Man are computer processed and the picture we are presented with has had all unwanted cluutter removed. Therefore it is virtually impossible to give you an accurate overall picture of the position of any weather returns because 95%+ of the weather returns have been removed electronicaly. Some very heavy returns do get displayed sometimes and it does no harm to ask
