Sunquest Vacations, a Canadian tour operator, signed a deal with 3 charter airlines to operate transatlantic flights between Canada and the UK as a result of Canada 3000's bankruptcy.

From 01May02 Sunquest will operate 11 weekly flights on the following routes :

Calgary to London Gatwick
Calgary to Manchester
Halifax to London Gatwick
Ottawa to London Gatwick
Toronto to Birmingham
Toronto to Dublin
Toronto to Glasgow
Toronto to London Gatwick
Toronto to Manchester
Toronto to Shannon
Vancouver to London Gatwick
Vancouver to Manchester
Most flights will operate with either an Airbus A330 or Boeing 767.

Thumbs up

I say, this is good news!

It should alleviate much of any lost business for next summer and get those 767's and A330's on the move!

Any information as to expected passenger figures and who's going to get how many flights, etc?

Looking up,
