Comair Recruits 100+ Midway CRJ pilots
Just heard from a source that Comair pilots/officials returned to Cincinati after successfully recruiting 100+ CRJ pilots from now-defunct Midway Airlines. Most will not require significant training because of currency. No word about their start dates, etc.
Although times are now tough in the airline business, at least these pilots will get some sense of security working for a more stable airline with a new contract - of course, if Delta or the rest of the business tanks, then this is all irrelevant...
Good job Comair for supporting fellow airline pilots (and picking up CRJ-trained and "ready" pilots on the cheap).
Let's hope other displaced pilots find some secure jobs soon...
