Exclamation BA DEPs LEFT TO "SEEK OUT OPTIONS" WITH PREVIOUS / CURRENT EMPLOYERS...

Heard that BA are leaving messages on answerphones of recently recruited (but not yet started) DEPs telling them to ask for their old / current jobs back. The co.s quite naturally are telling those concerned "tough S@*T" 'cos of market uncertainties and lay-offs.

Any carriers out there wanting to pick up these people / friends?

There but for the grace of god go I. Good job I'm useless at essays and interviews.

Best of luck to those concerned.

With 7000 confirmed job losses announced by BA today I believe that they are purely taking the honest approach with the DEP's. How would you feel if you went ahead and joined BA only to be made redundant within months or even weeks? Seems like BA started making these calls before the BIG announcement today.
This is a tragic time in aviation and BA, like many other airlines, are having to make tough decisions in order to survive.
