United Express LAX gear collapse
Does anyone have any more info on the United Express CRJ that had a nosegear collapse at LAX 25L on 12 June? I landed 25R but could not get a good look.

Nose gear problem sends United jet back to LA
Associated Press
LOS ANGELES - A United Express passenger jet that was about to land in Santa Barbara returned to Los Angeles International Airport after the pilots discovered a nose gear problem, officials said Monday.
The plane, which carried 17 passengers and crew members, made an emergency landing in Los Angeles after 10 p.m. Sunday. Upon landing, the nose gear collapsed, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells.
The pilots discovered the problem in the cockpit when they were preparing to put gear down for landing, said United spokesman Jeff Green.
"When they discovered the problem, they weren't sure the nose gear was down in lock and they chose to go back to LAX where there were many services available," Green said.
There were no injuries, he said.
The emergency landing closed a runway until 4:50 a.m. Monday but did not delay other flights, airport spokesman Tom Winfrey said.
The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation and Safety Board were investigating the cause of the problem, Green said.
