Swiss "Weltwoche" seems to suggest they'd intend to cooperate with LH without becoming a member of star. http://biz.yahoo.com/rf/020124/l2417278_1.html

Hey guys, read the text carefully. Its all press vaporware.
Be patient and - wait and see.
If you want rumours - try starting your own. How's about
Headline: MOL reported seen in GVA.. .Text: Will Ryanair beat bmibaby to setting up a hub at one of Swissair's old haunts, the international politics and private banking city of Geneva? MOL was thought, by a lady claiming to have been a Swiss World Airways associate, to have been seen talking to senior members of the international organisations and the CERN very recently, just before the Boeing announcement of Ryanairs new 100 aircraft order for 737's. 737's are ideally suited to Geneva's single runway airport as its is reported they are better able to make optimal use of the runway exits than other aircraft, making operations more efficient.
What will be the first destinations for the possible bmibaby or Ryanair operations.
Boy was PR ever a b*llsh*t business - it reads a lot better with hot air and zero facts. Proof of that if its needed has to be the Creative News Network, the worlds first truly self fulfilling news network.

[quote] Dear Pilots, Switzerland has a new Airline :. .Swiss Airlines . .

Well, you have to be honest, it still IS a rumour.
Just read of SwissText that Weltwoche and the Basler Zeitnung are quoting some high and reliable sources.
Anyway, Crossair, Swissair, Swiss Airlines, who cares !? As long as itīs a safe operation and makes money.
