A unionised labour force has historically meant airlines having a marginal business model and ultimately comes full circle to pilots, cabin crew et al. when the (always) cyclical airline industry hits bad times. Every industry downturn sees job losses at the majors and a return to good times mean increased employment. So far Southwest have managed to buck the trend. Can Easy do the same ?

Red face

Only if their pilot management recognise the need to follow the Southwest model and put petty politics behind them.

At least these poor guys will have someone to turn to for help regarding redundancies.
