Post GOD BLESS ST PIRAN

Having been through the mill over whether friends in the Pentagon or WTC were alive, I was delighted that HRH decided to play the USA national anthem at both her changing of the guard and the memorial service.

In the light of the numbers of UK citizens believed to have perished, I feel the alteration of ther "Last night programme" was rude and unneccessary. We Brits also NEED our solace in familiar icons. With a vast number of British servicemen based in the West Country with a long History of loyal service it was ( in the light of BBC restraint) magnificent to see the white cross on a black background flying proud in the Albert Hall tonight.

Whoever those people were, they deserve plenty pints of St Austell or other beers.

Thanks, you transformed what could have been a 'God less america fest' into a true understanding of the epoch making events of the week..
