AMSTELVEEN - Een Boeing 737-300 van KLM is maandag op de luchthaven van München bijna op een ander toestel gebotst. Het vliegtuig moest kort na landing een bocht naar rechts maken om een kleiner toestel te ontwijken. De twee vliegtuigen passeerden elkaar op enkele meters, zo liet KLM dinsdag weten.
Aan boord van de KLM-Boeing bevonden zich 127 passagiers en vijf bemanningsleden. Kort na de landing zag de piloot een tweemotorig propellertoestel van het Italiaanse Air Dolomiti van links de landingsbaan opdraaien. Het KLM-vliegtuig had toen een snelheid van ongeveer 200 kilometer per uur.
KLM heeft het incident bij de luchtverkeersleiding van München aangekaart. Ook heeft de luchtvaartmaatschappij een speciaal team samengesteld dat een onderzoek begint naar het bijna-ongeluk.

AMSTELVEEN - A KLM Boeing 737-300 almost collided with another plane on Munich international airport on monday. The airplane was forced to turn right sharply shortly after it landed to swing past another, smaller plane. The two aircraft were only several meters apart, KLM announced on tuesday.
On board the KLM-Boeing were 127 passengers and 5 crewmembers. Shortly after the plane landed the captain spotted a twin-propellor powered plane belonging to the Italian airline Air Dolomiti entering the runway from the left. The KLM-jet was travelling at about 200 km/h at the time.
KLM has taken up this issue with munich ATC, and the airline also formed a special team that will start an inquiry to this incursion.
