Post METRO 3 ACCIDENT IN CVT

BREAKING NEWS
A METRO III CARGO PLANE SPANISH REGISTERED HAS BEEN INVOLVED IN AN INCIDENT IN CVT JUST NOW. F/O WAS ATTEMPTING TO REAPIR AN ELECTRICAL FAULT, SPARKS WENT AND IN PANIC, THE F/O REARED UP AND HIT HIS HEAD ON THE COCKPIT OVERHEAD PANEL. F/O REPORTED TO BE INJURED AND TAKEN TO HOSPITAL. A/C DUE TO CARRY OUT CARGO FLIGHT CVT-BFS. CUSTOMER REPORTED TO BE VERY UNHAPPY.

Hi Air-bus,

I was in the DC-6 which arrived at CVT just as the Metro was running up on the south apron. We parked on stand 1 (right next to it).

Now you mention it, I do recall the tower having some problem's trying to call the Metro - the engines were running, but they didn't reply to any attempts from the tower to contact them - the crew were clearly distracted by something.

I do remember seeing the Metro F/O in what looked like a very compromising position!!!!! - no wonder why he got hurt. I hope he's OK.
