Exclamation Singapore Airlines (SIA) orders 2 Learjet45s

Singapore Airlines orders two more Learjet 45s from Bombardier
AFX Europe; Apr 20, 2001

Bombardier Aerospace, a unit of Bombardier Inc, said Singapore Airlines has placed a follow-on order for two additional Learjet 45 super-light business jet aircrafts to be used for specialised pilot training.

Bombardier said the new order will increase Singapore Airlines' fleet of super-light aircraft to six.

"Singapore Airlines is continuing expansion of its mainline fleet with over 15 widebody aircraft to be delivered in the coming year, this requires us to increase our ab-initio training to over 150 pilots in the coming months," vice president for Singapore Airlines' flight operations Maurice de Vaz said
