Changi runway closed after plane taxis off tarmac
SINGAPORE -- One of the two runways at Singapore's Changi international airport was closed on Monday after a Malaysia Airlines plane taxied off the tarmac, authorities said.
A Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) statement said nobody was hurt in the incident, which occurred at midday (0400 GMT).
The statement said Changi's runway one was closed while efforts were made to get the plane, which had arrived from Kuala Lumpur, off the grass.
Airport operations were not affected, with all services running from the second runway, the statement said.
A CAAS spokesman said authorities were still investigating why the plane veered off the runway and did not know when the runway would re-open. -- AFP

Uh-Oh
Well, it's not shaping up to be a good week at Malaysia Airlines. First, trouble with so-called 'sabotage' in the maintenance section and now they're running their planes off the taxiways. Could make for a couple of un-employed in the next few days.
Cheers,
Soulman.
