AS350 Rating - UK
Folks, looking for any recommendations as to who and where to have the AS350 put on my JAA ATPL, in the UK. Any pointers greatly received.

PDG singles and training captains are all very busy at the moment. LHC at Redhill will be a good bet - perhaps CampFreddie can give you some advice on flying there. Regards, MB |

Try Eurocopter Uk at Oxford. All the guys very good and a course straight from the horse's mouth;)

+1 For LHC at Redhill

Elite Helicopters at Goodwood have some nicely spec'ed B3's available for type rating training if you want to do it in style !! :ok:

I can recommend Helicentre Liverpool (www.helicentre.com).

Here's another one:
Training/Conversions - MWHelicopters Ltd They don't post prices for the AS350, but their AS355 prices are quite competitive. These variants are all more or less the same and do not require a differences training: B, D, B1, B2, BA, BB. If you just want to get the type rating, pick the cheapest model. You can do a diff training to a B3 or EC130 later anyway. Current EASA TRs: http://www.easa.europa.eu/certificat...t-07092012.pdf |
Proficiency check AS350/AS350B3
I have a question:
I have done my training on AS350BA. After that I did my difference training for AS350B3. Now, if I make my prof. check on AS350B3, may I fly all the models (B, BA, B1, B2,B3) or not???? Thank you. |
You can now fly all of them, including the EC130 (differences).
You need to comply with the rules for the differences of course ( 2 years ?). http://www.easa.europa.eu/certificat...t-03042013.pdf http://www.helikopterfliegen.de/down...4-06082012.pdf |
Thank you for the links, however there is not written anything about the annual prof.check. I know that they belong to the same group, but my question is another:
What helicopter should I use for my ANNUAL Prof. Check in order to can use all of them? (I am already rated on AS350 series and AS350B3). As I could understand I can not fly a AS350B2 for example if the last Prof. Check has been done on AS350B3. Am I right????? |
From European Commission (EU) Regulation No 1178/2011:

(b) If the variant has not been flown within a period of 2 years following the differences raining, further differences training or a proficiency check in that variant shall be required to maintain the privileges, except for types or variants within the single-engine piston and TMG class ratings.
