Believe it or not but when you get a brand new rotor head is has to be Balanced. I only ever did it once, it was a very uncomfortable feeling, you had to be very careful with throttle movements as it was very sensitive due to the lack of inertia. Also once in the governing range it hunted like a Bast@#$.;)

What a fantastic thread. I feel like donning an Hawaiian shirt, growing a moustache, narrating everything I do, driving a Ferrari and getting a couple of Dobermans. :)
Seriously though .... Beautiful photographs folks!!! |
I've enjoyed this thread as well, go the 500's :ok: As a driver, they're the best.

What's the STC Modification number that lets you fly without gear fairings fitted?

Island Hoppers, Airwolf and Howling Mad Murdoch (A-Team) inspired me as a kid. 500s are serious machines and bags of fun....if only my piggy bank would stretch to one:ok:

A couple from the late Rex Forrester's books, "The Chopper Boys" and "The Helicopter Hunters" Both books about Deer recovery in New Zealand.
