Thx NR, will be interesting if another operater got a look in at Warnambool if it does go to tender.

GG, Australian Helicopters run a 412 out of Horn Island and a couple out of Oakey I think. Helicorp (Essendon) operate a 412 from Canberra with the AFP and have and 412EP out the front of their hanger at the mo, not sure of it's role however they are pretty involved with forestry in Victoria. No idea what either of these guys pay however I sure someone can shed a bit of light.

What about Friends from other lands?

After hearing much chatter about the companies and job prospects in Australia, I am interested in working with you all. I'm a very experienced 412 SAR/offshore driver, but from the UK! After speaking with CHC Australia, it appears difficult, if not impossible to get a job with them due to residency issues. I would also have to convert my JAA ATPL(H) to a CASA license, but understand this is not too difficult. Can anyone out there shed any more light on the hurdles facing me. Would all jobs there have the same issues? does sponsorship happen? Is there too much competition in house already? what does license conversion actually consist of? and how difficult is it to get work visa/resedency? Anyone want to job swap to this side of the world? OK fire away and any job offers to................
