Where's the catch? :) I've heard everything from fixed landing gear to no weather radar option...

sprocket 19th May 2007 08:27

Maybe to accomodate the use of the short towbar? :hmm:

Tractor_Driver 19th May 2007 08:28

Interesting tail totor design!

Bravo73 19th May 2007 08:33

You've been 'ad, Bell427.

Here's a photo of what the aircraft actually looks like:

Wait for it - I can hear the Photoshop supports comming now!

Someones going to say it looks a little blurry to the right of the picture, and that it must have been edited! Look at the line across the tarmac, suddenly curves off!

No, no! You missed the foreshortened ridges and bricks in the wall behind.

Capt Hollywood 19th May 2007 13:31

All fixed! Even sorted out your tail rotor issue and cleaned up the apron while I was there!

Pity the nose wasn't a bit longer. Could have used it as extra storgae space. The patented 'tri-rotor' is supposed to give smoother quieter flight in the cruise.

ps capt h, you could have at least cleaned the tyre tracks of the apron while you were there.

Capt Hollywood 20th May 2007 08:46

Happy now!

The short nose is handy for getting into tight parking spaces especially at tesco's..

Bell427 20th May 2007 09:44

Now it's clearly visible that agusta made this maschine...
Nose part it totaly 109 design:)

sprocket 20th May 2007 09:45

Dang! We'll have to call that last version "The Pinnochio"

CH, the three blade T/R may require a longer tailboom.

Capt Hollywood 20th May 2007 12:21

Is this going to become the AW88 thread?:}

If so, I'd like a higher main rotor mast please, Capt H!

oscar bravo 20th May 2007 17:57

While we're placing orders...

Another window and row of seats please:ok:

sprocket 20th May 2007 19:51

Just as I suspected, the 139 has Russian heritage. :}

Heli-kiwi 20th May 2007 21:48

CH, Angle that tail down and I think we will have the next generation Lynx....
