No doubts, I'm enjoying flying it, even with the new "attitude"

That thing is smoking too much isn't it??
What to you mean by a "new attitude"? |
I think he's refering to the attitude control system and stability augmentation system that's fitted to the 139...

The new attitude is 7,5º nose up minimum in hover, or more with a full load. Regards. Aser |

In my opinion, I'd rather look at every angle of that AW139, I am not lucky enough to drive that beast yet.
Here are a few shots from my previous job. One of the best co-workers a guy can ask for was called up to fix a crippled squirrel. Look close at the second shot to find the Astar.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/208_0871.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/208_0886.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/208_0894.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/208_0864.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/208_0866.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/208_0867.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...d/208_0895.jpg Photo credits to Captain Tony Walker. One fine mountain pilot. |

 What do we have here? |
Resulted from Nick Lappos being told the only way he could stay ahead of the aircraft was if he was sitting on the pitot tube.;)

hotzenplotz,
SAS has got the right answer but the other version of the story is that, if I'm not mistaken, it's a testbed for the Commanche. It's an S-76 with a FBW Commanche cockpit grafted on to the front of it. One TP sits up front to test the system. HTH, B73 :ok: Edited to add: Just seen another re-run of the 'CyberCopter' doco on Discovery Wings: Mr Lappos was explaining in detail exactly what the 'Shadow' aircraft was intended for. He can certainly give you further details if you require...! |

June 2006 calendar
Another couple of offerings from around the world this month. The R22 image comes from vaqueroaero, and was taken near San Diego. Click on the thumbnail image, and the full size photo will open to be available as your desktop image (the widescreen images are fairly large files, so expect a slow download if you're on a dialup connection):
http://www.helicopterservice.com.au/...22%20thumb.jpg http://www.helicopterservice.com.au/...de%20thumb.jpg Belly Tank provided the S64 image from firefighting at Gosford, NSW, earlier this year. The Rural Fire Service contracted this Skycrane: http://www.helicopterservice.com.au/...64%20thumb.jpg http://www.helicopterservice.com.au/...de%20thumb.jpg We are still looking for good hi res photos to be used as calendar backgrounds, please contact me via e mail [email protected] if you have something to be used. I need at least 1280 x 800 for widescreen, and 1024 x 768 for standard. Thanks :ok: |
