Flying in Austria

Can anyone help with any info on flying and getting licenced in Austria. I am currently comm rated in S Africa on helicopters and will be moving there in about a year and a half. Availability of jobs, pay, what type of flying etc etc will be appreciated...

Austria is currenty transitioning to JAA. This year you can still convert your license pretty easy, 10 days groundschool and a flight test. Next year you'll have to do the 9 JAA CPL exams. Finding work as a non-native is a bit harder though but depends on your hours and how well you speak the language. It's a pretty closed community.
