twistair 6th February 2004 03:33

Things aren't so bad ;)

I've added more sunny video to the same webpage - with Hunter on skids. Should now look like Odin's chariot :)

BTW, there is one more videofile with gyro flying these places - in summer as well and showing more tough flying over Russian churches. It can be seen at http://twistairclub.narod.ru/rotorwingsportsTV.htm

or

Have fun!

Dennis Kenyon at Aerofair 2004 (early version)

Here is a very early version on Dennis Kenyon doing his display at Aerofair 2004.
It is quite large...
Dennis Kenyon in an Enstrom at Aerofair 2004
There is now a newer video, several postings below this one, but I have left them both on the site for comments

I hope to compile a DVD on Dennis's Flying and the proceeds will all go the the Dennis Kenyon Scholarship.

If anybody has any interesting footage and would like it used for a good cause please contact me

OMG

Well whoever put that together had some audio-visual skills. I was dizzy by the first 2 mins.

Not as quality as the last Dennis Kenyon video at Shoreham, but when you are flying a big piece of ham what can you expect

But non the less a quality piece of flying

MD :ok:

Thanks for the Feedback
We will re-edit and make a few changes.
One of the issues was that the main filming point was very low, not like the elevated position at Shoreham.
We will be working with Dennis for a New Shoreham Video in the Enstrom but with an additional camera.

Jerry.

You obviously have some FANTASTIC footage of Dennis' display.

For me, the film was bitty (bad word I know, but best I can come up with!!! ;) )
Each individual piece was too short. For example when he takes her vertically, and looks as though he's going right over the top, it cuts away to another shot.
I only managed about four minutes of it before my head kinda hurt!!!:\ :\

I don't really have any film making/video know how, and I also don't know exactly what footage you do have, just think it might be nicer if each bit was longer.

Hope I am not being too critical, feel a little guilty as there was obviously a lot of time and effort put into making it.

:O :O

Hi Jerry,

Thanks for getting the video posted, although I couldn't hang with the late '90s MTV-style editing. Gift horse and all, but I'll go with the consensus so far and put in my vote for long takes - the previous (Schweizer 300) video was poetry!

I'm sure there's plenty of good vid to keep us prop-toppers happy - it doesn't take much, y'know.

Ditching Videos

I am looking for some ditching video's to be used for a HUET course. Any leads? Thanks!

Wow,

as I type this, the thread had received 66 replies and 6666 views. Just a little spooky.

Again, I am with the majority here in that the 300 video from before floated my boat more as this one was edited so much it was more a series of clips than a display. IMHO.:ugh:

I cannot get any of the links to work, any secrets?????

jerry712731 4th June 2004 07:45

The uploads will be slow as they are on a 256K Upload from a home server.

Is the lastest video better than the first Aerofair Video ?

Guess we made a rod for our own back by making the first video (Shoreham) so good.

jerry712731 5th June 2004 17:37

Any comments on the latest version as there seem to be quite a lot of downloads happening but no comments.....

HeliEng 5th June 2004 18:36

Jerry,

I much prefer the new vid to the old one. My only criticism would be the bl**dy music!!! :\ :\ :\ By about three minutes I was tearing my hair out, and had to turn the sound off.

A+ for the vid though. A vast improvement in my eyes!!

jerry712731 5th June 2004 18:48

Thanks for the feedback

We are planning to video Dennis at Castle Donnington on the 12th. I understand this will be to the Birmingham Symphony Orchestra so we will have nothing to do with the Music :p
