The impression is likely more an artefact of the small total numbers of the Oz Heli fleet.

What ????. Sorry but absolutely no sense in that statement. If you are having more accidents then you are having more accidents doesn't matter if you have 10 helicopters or 1000 - an accident is an accident and if you have 7 accidents instead of 5 accidents then you are having more.
