Costs and performance comparison
Can I ask, how do Rotorway costs and performance stats compare to an R22, roughly, assuming say 100 hours per year, UK based....?
Thanks all. |
Plank Cap
I was chatting to one of the owners at the fly-in and he mentioned that his last year's flying had cost him £5k all-in. Insurance, hangarage, CAA fees, maintenance and fuel all included. He's had to have a couple of larger component changes too. That said, he's only done 25 hours so that's £200 an hour. If he'd done more hours, the hourly costs would be well down on that when you consider that fuel is only about £40 an hour. Maybe Parasite Drag could give you his first hand experience? JJ |
