Easa and Faa; around UK, USA and Italy!
Hello everybody,
I was wondering if an Italian Pilot with cpl-ir (H) EASA can fly in the United Kingdom and in the United States. Next year I would like to start the CPL in Italy and the certification will be EASA. Unfortunately to be hired in Italy a Helicopter Pilot needs at least 1000/1500 Hours and after taking the CPL, I will not have more than 140Hours. Therefore, I thought to find a job in the States or in the UK where there are more opportunities. Will I have any problem with the citizenship? But my I do not know if my license will be valid or not. Can anyone help me please? Do you think that a neo-pilot finds a job easily even as co-pilot? I would like to fly the AW109 in order to have the right qualification for the Mountain Search and Rescue in Italy. I know that it's difficult but it's my dream since the Italian Air Force as so many pilot job position per year. Thank you and :ok: |
To fly in the US you will need an FAA licence, plus immigration. Otherwise, an EASA licence is valid in the UK.
