Sorry guy's :sad: you are getting the dirt again...
But here's a video we got on saturday night, 3 hours after it started, then the plume was already at 65000 feet |
No worries this time. Apparently, we're "better prepared for it". Whatever that means... :rolleyes:

Hey Bertie,
Don't waste your time! I was referring to those filters last year, being laughed at and told I was way to eager to fly. We've used them in Africa on AS350's, and compared them to regular sand-filters/particle separators and seen a big diffrence. But volcanic ash you will be told is nothing like sand, so it does not matter what type filters you use, the best is to stay on ground!:ok: cheers... by the way, the STC for the MD was received in 2009 |
Hey Nubian;
I didn't say "anyone got these?" I said "anyone else got these?":ok: http://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i9...52010006-1.jpg |
DB .....ready for round 2 :ok: ( i presume you are now cowering in a dark room away from the ash :eek: ) Just joking ...think we,ve done that .
Flying in the north has been fun the last couple days ..200+ kn going north then 100kn back south . |

Got that part, Bertie.
I was only preparing you for the folks that say those filters won't do the trick, that's all. Good to see the ones you fly for have good judgement, and want to take care of their machines. Fly safe:ok: |
The amount of material spewed out this volcano for first 36hrs equals the whole amont in the eruption last year. But now it is receding fast a the plum is 4-5km high, not 20km like it was the first 24hours.
According to newest info (22:00z) it looks like the eruption is slowly dying and might only last for few days from now on. |
