S-61N - In search of accurate blueprint/3-way views
For last 3 weeks I'm looking for accurate drawings of the Sikorsky S-61N, with little success, asking for them here is just one of last resorts - the other two are simply asking the Sikorsky and Carson ;)
It's actually amazing. It's 40+ years old airframe, quite popular and apparently will fly forever... yet there are almost no accurate blueprints / 3-way view drawings around. I have few from the 1970s Airfix modelers magazine, and one kinda official looking and labeled "general arrangement" which have good general dimensions, but shapes are way off, plus few other from various places, but unusable for my work (3D graphics). Do anyone have something sure and unquestionable about its accuracy ? |
Hi Lt. Fubar,
ever tried http://www.the-blueprints.com/ ? use the search function on the page - modern planes helicopters or so ;-) or http://www.the-blueprints.com/index....a-b/1731/view/ or http://www.the-blueprints.com/index....n-z/5607/view/ if you need it accurate - verctorize the picture and you can play around with it as needed. Yes, I tried, but those are Sea Kings, S-61N is different, longer fuselage, different floats, different vertical stabilizer, different main rotor head - just for start ;)

Long ago, Flight Magazine used to do cut-outs in their mag. Try calling them to rummage in the archives.

And I think that you're right in saying that you can buy old editions of the posters. |

Bingo! :ok:

Yup I checked it... although, my needs are bigger than that ;)
That type of isometric drawing usually have some issues with proportions, and what I truly need right now, are accurate 3-way view drawings :ugh: Don't bother searching Internet for it... I have them all already and I'm still not satisfied  |
