Gordy,
"Current Trip"......Hell's Bells Laddy....looks like July in the Photo's as evidenced by being able to see the wires without having to shovel the snow off'em! |
Sasless, Yep, its right now---they are in a "heatwave" in ND the last few days, there were a few lines with ice on them, but I did not get pics. I am currently stuck in Jackson, WY in a snow storm for the next day or so:

re: Jackson
I used to live in Jackson, a long time ago. There are far, far worse places to be for a couple of days! Is the Mangy Moose still open in Teton Village?:ok:
|
Not sure about the Mangy Moose---I spent a few days in Jackson earlier in the year with my fire crew--we were stuck in weather then too. We spent the evening in some cowboy bar.....
I actually left the aircraft in Jackson and drove to Pocatello. I just got annoyed at the snooty attitude in JAC because I did not arrive in a "business jet" and was not wearing gold bars and scrambled egg. They did not appreciate my scruffy jeans and knitted woolly hat with "Smokey Bear" wings on it, (which was knitted and given to me by my USFS fire crew), therefore I had NO desire to stay in that town. |

Happy New Year for 2008!
There are a choice of two images for January, both brilliant photos taken by Mark Ogden in the Australian ski fields when he covered the operation between Mt Hotham and Falls Creek ski resorts. Top quality pics, Ned. I hope the bloke who did the pre-flight on the Mil in the playground takes another look at the tail-rotor before he goes anywhere... He'd probably just been for a dive in the pool nearby.

Cool pics ned, awsome :ok:
Odd place to have a statue display of the mil lol! |

Looks like Springer to me, good to see he is still buzzing around the skies; there’s something to be said for the Australian anti-ageism laws. :ok:
If you are reading this Stu: all the best for you and your family in 2008. Greetings, Finalchecksplease |

Which model Hind?! is the one with the ZA flag? I thought they had made their own toy...! |
Peter - Thanks and always try to get something different from each shoot.
Nubian - That is the Superhind MKIII and its done by ATE Aerospace in Sth Africa. They have already sold some up into Algeria somewhere and are now working on the MK5 I think it is which will have composite blades and other major improvements. Ned |

http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...d/VC6Q0207.jpg This one blew me away, here we were flying around NYC and I saw this. If anyone knows anything would be cool to know. http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g1...d/VC6Q0210.jpg |
This one blew me away, here we were flying around NYC and I saw this. If anyone knows anything would be cool to know. The biplane on the roof sculpture was designed by some guy named Rudolph de Harak and executed by the sculptor William Tarr in 1969 (thanks Jack Ryan). Apparently it's a full-size model of a WW1 Sopwith Camel, complete with runway. It was put there to amuse inhabitants of surrounding scyscrapers, notably the WTC. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/23/31...25c8de.jpg?v=0 Regards Aser |
