This is one from the King Fire of 12 guys running, (left side of picture), to be picked up after having been caught in a bad place. They deployed shelters, but were still not in a good place. Pilot Gary Dahlen told them to move and start running. Long story short---two 205's, a crane, and myself in a 206 doing Helco and all 12 lived to fight another day.

I was just a small part----I was launched to do the "Helco" or top cover once Gary had the guys on the run already. Most all the credit goes to him.
