HEMS pics wanted

The Royal Aeronautical Society is producing an information programme for schools showing tasks helicopters can perform. We've been asked to help by providing photographs of casevacs from a road or railway accident. A PR opportunity for helicopters shouldn't be missed, so let's help. Please post pictures here so that we can provide the RAeS with a selection from which to choose. If you have some pictures and don't know how to post them, let me know and I'll help. Heliport |
Can't remember where this one originated from ....

A couple of pics of the Cumbrian Air Ambulance taken in July this year

Does it have to be UK based?
If not, this is an old favourite and past competition winner: http://www.helicopterservice.com.au/...94%20scene.jpg Originally posted by C4 :ok: |

Thumbnails found on airliners.net - search by putting G-SASA and G-SASB (one at a time) into the keywords part of the search function. The full size pics are pretty good, will need the phot's permission to publish though |

That Dauphin on the railway tracks appears to have its rear left wheel wedged in between two pieces of track?
It would call for a very precise lift off! |
I can't take credit for any of these shots, they are just some that I have collected over the years. I am happy to remove them if the rightful owner rejects to me posting them. :)

I am very jealous of these Pilots..... More please much more....:ok: :ok: lots of love xxxx f .. |
I didn't even ask for the pics but just wanted to say thank you to those who posted. They are absolutely fantastic. If anyone has any advice on the best route in EMS, I would love to hear from them.
Thanks very much Nick |
Looking at some of those shots of G-EHMS, I realise I would probably need many many years of experience to be able to land in those tight confines - major kudos to the pilots :ok:
I wonder how different the decisions would have been if it wasn't a NOTAR? I imagine there is a little less to worry about with a 902. |

Anybody able to advise how to post pictures directly to this forum?

NASUS,
Send a pm to heliport, I'm sure he'll be only too happy to help. I would imagine he's tucked up in his bed by now seeing as it's 00:46 in the UK :} Regards Jim :ok: |
Here are some I took, don't know if they are of any good or of use to you, if needed will remove Copyright badge and sig, were only added after being ripped off on here by The Sun Newspaper.

On behalf of the RAeS Rotorcraft Committee, I would like to thank all who have contributed so far; these are exactly what we require - i.e. HEMS helicopters on the job.
Later we might make a similar request for other helicopter activities but for the time being, keep these coming. Jim |

Coconutty,
I'm 99% certain that your pic in post #2 is Helimed7 (the Essex machine) above the M25, albeit sometime ago as they now have an EC135 T2. When it works. |
Paracab
Yes could well be - time has passed since then, but the traffic on the M25 still moves around the same speed as in the pic :ok: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1.../Coconutty.jpg |
let me know e-mail address & I'll send one of Warwickshire's latest heli

Those pics of the 76 cracked me up! I would have never tried to land there, way to go people, hopefully when I grow up I will be able to do that. I liked the one up to the doors in crops..:ok:
|
S-76 pics
i agree with Darren. those 76 pics are a hoot! the one on the rock is my favourite. ill bet the couple in the background of the crop landing shot
now wonder if swedish HEMS are responsible for crop circles and not little green men. :E :} ROTORHEAD. the shot with the guy standing while the machine is hovering . tell me did he jump out in the hover to make sure the landing was ok?? whats he doing ? |
For what it is worth here is a pic from Downunder....Victoria Police operate a dedicated HEMS aircraft as well as a police helicopter....both machines are AS365N3.
