I didn't know that I can "upload" that kind of videos here. There are a lot of videos from National Geographic and Discovery Channel in Youtube but I donīt know if is legal put a link here to these videos, the publisher is not the owner

apb. Great video. What camera did you use and how did you get rid of the jello effect?

Thanks in advance

Dick: Have you seen this video which simply made use of a standard $300 Gro Pro camera with suction mount and mounting bracket!

I am sorry Dick but I am not the owner of the video. It was filmed by a local tv, try to contact with them through Youtube to get more info about it.

Flying under the wires for fun? :ok: :D :yuk: := :hmm:

Flyting 12th Apr 2013 17:35

Never done any ag work, but is it neccessary to fly at 5 feet... if that...?
Surely you're really looking for  and surely the spray gets pushed down far enough by the rotors for one to have a few more feet safety margin? I've done survey at 75-100 ft and that was finger out of ass flying in case of engine out.

Sure, depending on the type of crop, material used & the weather.

5' was pretty typical when I was doing it, even lower if there was much wind. On a dead calm day maybe up to 10'.

Phoinix 13th Apr 2013 12:13

I understand you need to go low to cover the crops, but at the end he was flying under the wires without spray - for fun?

John Eacott 13th Apr 2013 12:41

Phoinix, he was either spraying or lining up to spray when travelling under the wires: you can see the spray from the boom in one of the helmet cam shots toward the end. Why do you find it necessary to try to denigrate a pilot's ability to carry out his job?
