Um, I don't speak or read Spanish, but I'm guessing the Thread titled El Calendario de Marzo may mean March Calendar :O :p

How about a day-one-is-a-monday version, please ?

Sailor Vee 9th Mar 2005 10:59

One more method after right-click is to "Save picture as ", you can then place it in any file on your hard-drive,(or a memory-stick, and can then move it to other computers you may have).

You can set as wallpaper by selecting 'browse' from the menu for wallpapers and selecting the file where you saved it. That way you can keep the piccie for as long as you want to.

April calendar

The calendar is available here for April. A nice international effort, with a photo taken by a UK contributor, of an Italian helicopter, in Finland :D (Hosted in Australia, too!)

A request was made last month for a version with the week starting on Monday: that one is available here.

High res image here (Sunday).
If you're on dial up, it's about 0.75mb, so expect time enough to go and make a coffee while it's downloading :D

Heliport 29th Mar 2005 08:41

Many thanks to John Eacott in Melbourne for producing this month's calendar and to Head Turner for providing the picture.

We're always looking out for new pictures we can use for the monthly calendar so please keep posting them in our Rotorheads Around the World collection.

Calender

John matbe its an april fools day joke but have a look at the 3rd of april and all the ones under it .

John Eacott 29th Mar 2005 22:44

Helo1,

I'm glad you spotted it.........

The link for Monday calendar now goes to a corrected wallpaper ;)

VEMD 30th Mar 2005 04:31

There is a lot of good quality pictures in the "Rotorheads" and the april picture quality is very low.

Heliport 30th Mar 2005 07:54

VEMD

Do you mean the quality of the picture (resolution etc) or the subject itself?

As I said above, we're always looking for pictures to use for the calendar - if you have some from your part of the world, please post them.

Note:
It's true we have lots of superb pictures in our 'Rotorheads Around the World' collection, but not all of them are suitable for enlarging to full screen size.

Hi VEMD, I am sorry that the picture of the Koala is not to your liking. Incidentally it was taken by a Russian, in Finland of an English pilot flying an Italian helicopter having just dropped of a party of Polish, Estonian and Lithuanian people.
And I think it's a pretty good picture.

John Eacott 1st Apr 2005 07:12

Since VEMD hasn't indicated whether the photo quality, or the subject, is "very low". I've uploaded a higher res image here (Sunday) . If you're on dial up, it's about 0.75mb, so expect time enough to go and make a coffee while it's downloading :D

If it is the subject quality that is "very low"....tough luck ;)

Heliport 1st Apr 2005 07:42

The best way for Windows users on dial-up connections to download the calendar is:

Right-click on the link in John's post
A drop-down menu will appear

Select 'Save target as .......' to save the pic to your hard-disk

Open the picture file

Right-click on the picture
A drop-down menu will appear

Select 'Set as background.......'

spinwing 6th Apr 2005 05:36

Mmmm ... Very nice John thanks (resolution seems ok).

Cheers

Personally, I think the quality's fine and I like the picture.

I recall reading a flight test of this aircraft in Flyer magazine a while back, lots of good words said about it.
