Get well soon Lu. The debates have certainly not been so lively here in your absence. Prior to your appearance here I used to think a pitch horn was a prehistoric drinking vessel.

Watchoutbelow 22nd Mar 2005 23:12

As what everyone else has already said.

A young whipper snapper like myself has so much to learn from someone with your wealth of experiance, even if i have to refer to www.dictionary.com every second sentence!

Looking foward to seeing you back here real soon!!

And thank you to his step daughter who informed us, strange thing about getting to know people over the internet, you have no idea what is going on in their real life!
Thanks for thinking of us.

With respect to Flying Lawyer's post, I'd just like to point out that the Aussie members of Rotorheads aren't rooting for you, as that has a quite different and rude meaning in Australia, but that we are certainly wishing you all the best.;)

Warren Buffett 23rd Mar 2005 09:46

Get well soon Lu

I have always enjoyed your posts and have learnt much from your knowledge.

Get well soon.

Whirlybird 23rd Mar 2005 10:58

Get back on in here and join the fray, Lu. I don't understand half your posts, and the other half I disagree with. But what's that got to do with anything? You BELONG on Rotorheads. :ok:

Pat Malone 23rd Mar 2005 20:57

Lu:
Pprune has been a little subdued in your absence, and I look forward to having you back in fighting form as soon as possible. You're sorely missed.

Flight Safety 23rd Mar 2005 21:28

Lu:

I hope you don't have any medical background. If you did, I could only imagine the debates between you and the doctors and nurses. Hurry up and get well, you are sorely missed here at PPrune.

I'll keep you in my prayers, and may the centrifugal force be with you (you know I believe in it). ;)

widgeon 23rd Mar 2005 23:35

Lu was very kind to me when I moved to my new job. Best wishes for a speedy recovery .

Lost_luggage34 24th Mar 2005 00:25

I know sod all about rotary flying machines. But I like your atttitude about bringing a debate to the PPrUnE table.

Always well informed and well constructed. Have read many of your threads here, do come back. The place is a tad lacking without your wise words.

I like to be educated and I am still learning.

Cron 24th Mar 2005 13:11

I know about 0.000000001% of what Lu knows about helicopters. But Lu is prepared to share and impart his knowledge, argue his corner and always show another angle to things.

Come back and get well soon Lu. This place needs you.

Vortex what...ouch! 25th Mar 2005 06:55

Been away for a few days and only just spotted this.

Lu,

I don't understand most of what you write on here but I do learn more than a few things from your posts. You really are missed on here - just look at all the posts. So fight hard and get well soon. Best wishes and I look forward to seeing you back here soon.

Lu, get well since we need to see the "different point of view" that you allways point out.

Hang tough Lu, and get well soon.

Heliport 25th Mar 2005 19:11

I've been keeping in touch with Lu's stepdaughter Lyne in Quebec.
Copies of two replies I've had from her:

Good day Heliport
I printed out all the messages and brought them to Lu, and like I said it made him smile and laugh.
I will be printing them as it come in, and last night I called him and we talked and he really appreciated all of them. I really think that it gave him a BOOST of energy. His voice was good , and today (Wednesday) I will bring some more back.
I really really appreciated all the help you gave us to find Jim. I was able to talk to him and give him Lu phone # so they talk and I know that Lu will be only reenforce on his spirit.
He fought so hard and I pray that he has won this battle against leukemia and that he will continue to have controversial chat with Nick for the next 20 years ha ha ha.
Lu explain to me who Nick is and what sometimes happen when they talk.
God Bless you all
Lyne
And, today

Hello Heliport

Just wanted to give you news about Lu
The nurse can't believe how well he's doing. His bonemarrow started up again and since then he is not doing any more fever. His spirit is high and believe me your e-mails really put a smile on his face.
We are really grateful for all of you to encourage him like you do, please past on the word to everybody that e-mailed him, he really really appreciate and I really thank all of you for your prayers.
Next week is the final biopsy and then will know how well his bonemarrow is.
So please continue praying and I wish all of you guys good blessing from God.
Lyne
When Lyne refers to e-mails, she means posts on this thread.

I am very glad to read that Lu is continuing to improve - keep it up there!

As an avid reader of, and debater with, Lu, ever since his first post on Just Helicopters as "Poonette" (the famous cat, in case you missed that story), I have always enjoyed Lu's stories and reminiscinces of the old days - B47's and S51's. Cool stuff.

You don't get harmony when everybody sings the same note. This is one of the reasons this forum is so much fun.

I hope you are feeling much better, and I look forward to your return to the forum here, Lu.

Hilico 25th Mar 2005 21:03

Good luck Mr Zuckerman. Just check the phase angle on that biopsy gear before they use it - if it looks like 18 degrees, tell them to take it away and get a replacement.

Jack S. 26th Mar 2005 03:38

Lu,
wishing you all the best, get well soon.

Matthew Parsons 26th Mar 2005 08:56

Lu, it seems like its all been said. Great to hear that you're improving. Looking forward to your return to the site.

Lyne, thank you so much for passing these messages on and providing us updates. Keep strong, the family is very much a part of the recovery.

Matthew.
