Guys,

I want to get my girlfriend a lesson in a helicopter for her birthday. Can anyone recommend a place in London and roughly how much will it cost.

Cheers

Well if you go to HERE you can search for schools by area...choose one nearby. just click on the "where to fly" guide.

Rough costs...for a heli - usually an R22...£100 for a 30 min lesson...£200 for an hour.

I had one with Flightworks ....and was REALLY good fun.

It depends where in London you live. There are Flightworks at Wycombe Air Park near Marlow, Heliair at Denham (M40) which is closer if you are west and there is also Biggin Hill helicopters if you are South or East.

Red Wine

What sort of helicopter can you get for $80/hr?

Even if you mean 80 pounds it still sounds too cheap for an hour flying!

Red wine, If you can rent a machine for 80 dollars an hours I know a bloke that needs to build up 80 hours towards an AG/mustering rating (needs the 80 to get 200tt). If you can do it for that price PM me and i will give him your contact details he would be willing to pay and start very soon.
Cheers

Yes that is a bit misleading....but with the tax laws and negative gearing and the income from a few folk who enjoy the freedom......thats what it costs me.....
