Post Flying in UK on a Canadian CPL(H)??

I've decided to make a career change and was hoping to do my CPL(H) here in the UK. Unfortunately, I have an astigmatism in my left eye which doesn't meet the JAR medical standard.

I'm determined to get out of IT and fly, so I checked the regulations in Canada (where I'm from) and the USA. Strangely, I meet their commercial medical requirements. I'm heading off to British Columbia to do my CPL(H) in April.

And finally the question... I know I can fly privately in the UK on a Canadian licence, could I fly commercially?
