Apache Activity

Activity over Fife, Scotland.
4 Army Air Apaches took off from around Spadeadam and now stooging around and landing. Been at it for an hour.
Joined by a Cessna Caravan flying patterns.

Unusual for a weekend no ?

Normal training in an army training area; there are runways marked (but unuseable for fixed wing traffic) and some 'mock up' aircraft/old airframes.

Used to shoot (photos) for RAF Strike Command on the Otterburn Range.
Seen that first hand.
The old "Andover" hulk I believe it was where the carcass was made to smoke by the guy manning the Synfire (Simfire) Unit !

Loved watching the A10's strafing the convoy hulks !
