A man has been arrested in Autauga County after he allegedly shot at a medical helicopter, officials confirmed on Wednesday afternoon.
At about 4:20 a.m. Sept. 17, a medical helicopter was dispatched to County Road 51 in Autauga County, where the helicopter had to use an open pasture as a landing zone, said Autauga County Sheriff Mark Harrell.
While the helicopter was trying to land, Harrell said that "several shots were fired at the medical helicopter," resulting in a flight nurse being struck by a ricocheting bullet.
When the Autauga County deputies arrived, Harrell said they located the alleged source of the shots — 48-year-old Peter Ellison, who was arrested on the scene.

Looks to be at least a 20 Year Prison sentence on just one count....but as usual there are other Statutes and ways of adding to the single count.
Then....there is the Civil Court side to it as well.
