R22 Instructor and student practising engine failure in the hover, touch down with left drift and rollover.
R44 on first lift on first solo, student surprised by yaw, ends up on right side.
R44 on first lift on first solo, nose rises more than expected, ends up on right side.
OK Robinson-bashers: there are just lots of 22s and 44s out there in the hands of very low-timers. In comparison, if you want to be safe on the road, buy an Aston Martin. After all, very few of them crash - mainly because there aren’t many to begin with, not because 500hp and two tons is intrinsically safe!

I know it’s not rotary, and we shouldn’t laugh, but:
“With the aircraft battery flat, the pilot decided to hand start the engine from outside the aircraft. The engine started but the aircraft accelerated away from the pilot and took off. It was subsequently tracked by radar as it flew over the coast north of Newcastle and flew out to sea. It was presumed to have subsequently crashed into the sea.”
“How was the battery? Did you get it started?”
“About that….”

But the design of the Robbie with its high rotor mast, quite tall skids and teetering (almost) head make it far more vulnerable to dynamic rollover, low g, mast bumping and rotor separation.
