S-76 accident Nigeria

I'm getting reports that an S76 has ditched (or is in the water) in Nigeria. Not BHNL or CHL. I'll update if I hear more - hopefully a good outcome!

Agrees with info released by Odutayo Oluseyi Head Press and Public Relations Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development. Federal Republic of Nigeria
The helicopter, a Sikorsky SK76 with registration 5NBQG and operated by East Wind Aviation, was en-route from Port Harcourt Military Base (DNPM) to the NUIMANTAN oil rig. The aircraft, with eight persons on board, ditched into the waters near Bonny Finima in the Atlantic Ocean

I guess it depends on the definition of ‘near’ !

Finima is basically due south of PH, the track to the FPSO is ESE

Not familiar with Nigeria 212, you could tell me anything and I'd believe it, see the local Nigerian press had this piece of informative information.
According to sources, the helicopter, owned by Eastwind Aviation, ditched unexpectedly before nosediving into the ocean

The Nigerian press is quite remarkable. The S76 crew that forgot to return the compasses to MAG and then intentionally ditched because they couldn’t figure out what was wrong were turned into heroes by the West African media for saving the lives of everyone on the ‘stricken’ helicopter.

That was the first female Nigerian Bristow S76 Captain newly minted into the right hand seat if I recall.
