Looks like Bristow Norway are on strike. Not a happy company it would seem.
Shame about the CHC aircraft in the article picture though.

Well the UK strike has left a very sour taste in many people's mouths it would seem so the management have played this game rather badly.

By all accounts, the days of Bristow in Europe are gone, and Era is pulling the strings now through the installation of yes men who are scared to do the right thing. If it's not the FAA way, it will be soon, and it's sad to see the high standards being erroded. As a regulator, I would be concerned over who is in control of the AOC, as even Accountable Managers aren't allowed to make decisions.

In business, profit has always been essential.
The modern model: Profit is the only thing.
While terrible outcomes are what we are getting used to generally: Aviation is one of the industries which this model suits the worst. With obvious consequences.
(Thread drift, and not a direct comment on the strike. More a commentary on the downfall of, once aviation focused, long term businesses. Sad to be involved with.)

Good morning everyone,
I am reaching out to inquire about the possibility of connecting with someone at Bristow Norway. I recently submitted my CV and would like to ask a few questions about the company. To avoid cluttering the forum, I would appreciate it if anyone with relevant connections could reach out to me directly.
thank you for your time and consideration,

American lying bar stewards nearly finished Bristow back in 2019 with their imaginative quarterly filings catching up with them. The ERA mob were not there to learn anything useful from that experience so it appears that they are laying the foundations for another financial collapse. Will this one will be the end?

And if you can’t read and comprehend things well, you post nonsense comments! At no point does he say profit is not essential - it’s even his opening line!

Actually they are completely essential to successful business and successful society, otherwise, sooner or later, people just won't put up with it. It's that special balance between socialism and capitalism that makes so many countries in northern Europe the most successful nation states in the world. Norwegians know how this works.
