The London Met Polce helicopter has posted video of their team flying through some of the recent weather this week.

the H145 was never the most forgiving helicopter to be flying through turbulence in

On the other hand, it is just “uncomfortable” but the airframe doesn’t really care. Other helicopters might end up chopping their own tail booms off…😬

Difficult to get a read on how bumpy that really was since a lot of the apparent movement seems to be exaggerated by the bouncing of the hand held camera.

Not smooth or comfortable to be sure.

But a lot better than a B206 or any teetering head. I was in a BK117 in mountain waves and we were flipped to 120 degrees roll, we landed nearby and had a coffee to wait it out.

In moments of fright objective recollection can be amiss, flying a 206 on fixed floats in the lee of a mountain I could have sworn turbulence flipped me beyond 90°, in any event flying was cancelled and a change of underwaer procured.
