Douglas Adams got to the bottom of this problem when, in 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy' he defined the SEP Field. It's 'Somebody Else's Problem'.

It's about responsibility. Even though the helicopter has been routinely used as a tool for saving lives for over 70 years, in all that time, nobody has taken responsibility for where we land them. DfT, DHSC, local government, emergency services, and hospital management, usually show not a shred of concern about where this is going to happen. All looking the other way, until the SEP field becomes so powerful that there is a charity building helipads all over the place that appears to let them all off the hook.

I see you, you shirkers. I see you.

When I get airborne in a "Heavy" and I know there's a small fixed-wing in the circuit, I ALWAYS call "Be aware of wake turbulence" just tom use the question to the fixed wing pilot. When I did my licence many years ago there was a fixed wing that crashed after in try to land after an S61 killing 4 on the fixed wing.

As I am not a subscriber, I couldn't read the full Cairns Post article, but a summary was:

Toddler’s stroller lifted in air by rescue helicopter’s blades

An incident in which a toddler and their stroller were lifted into the air by the whirring blades of a rescue helicopter taking off outside Cairns Hospital has prompted a state government review.
The Cairns Base Hospital helipad (YCBH) in Queensland, Australia, is located in open parkland opposite the hospital.

Australian ATSB has recently released an incident report concerning an R44 apparently encountering the wake turbulence from an EC120 while flying in the helicopter lane along the Parramatta River in Sydney:

Fortunately no injuries or damage, but it doesn't sound like it would have been a pleasant experience.
