Any Taipan drivers know what sort of emergency which results in a reported "ditching" being uncontrolled? A controlled ditching should be survivable.

Poor buggers.

I suspect that the term ditching is a misnomer and a good example of the media’s apparent inability to be accurate when reporting anything to do with aviation or the military. It’s not helped when supposed ‘experts’ like Blaxland are wheeled out who then bang on about stuff they’ve only got a passing knowledge of.

"“Helicopters are really dangerous aircraft because they are inherently unstable. They rely on the rear rotor to actually maintain the stability of an incredibly dangerous spinning four blades at the top."

Who the hell is this clown Blaxland ????

RIP Diesel
